Just One of Those FB Nights

No, I don't mean the Facebook "FB" but Fuse Box bar cafe, one the the bars in Dipolog City that I love to go to. Just sharing here one of those 'worth-it' night out parties in Fuse Box with classmates and friends. I was able to meet nice and annoying people plus I received a gift certificate from Mary Kay.

Out of the blue, this friendly guy approached me. He was at the bar counter in FB, which is my favorite spot there.

He was with this not-so-friendly girl who seemed to be the new cashier. When I secretly asked someone who the guy was, I was informed he's the brother of the owner of Fuse Box.Whew! Meanly socializing costumers, for sure.
But why is it that of all the lady costumers in there, I was the only one whom he handed this Mary Kay gift certificate? Maybe because I frequent the place.

One Fun Night In Balai Resto Bar

I was reunited with Lyn, one of the friends I had in College. I was glad to see her again after she gave up college and run away from her home to live together with her boyfriend. She was able to escape from her kind of live in partner and joined the night out with our other friends one weekend night.
Where else could we be hanging out? Balai Resto Bar is where we like hanging out the most these days so we took her there. It was so much fun being with the craziest and the noisiest mongos Lyn (in yellow) of the Mongos Clan again. She hasn't changed.
The night out wouldn't be completed without Pabz. He's present most of my night outs for he's the only person I can trust when I get drunk.

My sister Cheem, her boyfriend and two of her friends joined us too. They bought a round of drinks and a serve of Calamares for pulutan. It was another fun night out party I had with friends.

Revisiting Derek's Place

My friend Pabz invited me out the other night to hang-out with his friends in Derek's Place, a bar with videoke. Singing is one thing I love doing so I went with him. So instead of sitting on my personal office chairs at home, I sat on a tall concert chair while singing my favorite song there. I took my sister Cheem along with me who loves singing more than anything. We had a lot of fun singing there as if we were acoustic singers. Here are few of the photos taken that night.

It's quite been a long time since I last stepped on Derek's place. It was 2007, my college days. The said bar was one of the most visited bars before that is always packed with costumers mostly students anytime of the day. That night of my revisit, the place lacked a lot of things although many students still love hanging out there. The rotten chairs can tell the place is a bit deserted. I find it the last place to chill for there were a lot of mosquitoes and the crews were lousy.  Well, at least we enjoyed the singing part.

Cheem and Friend's Treat at Balai Resto Bar

Friday, last week, I have visited Balai Resto Bar again and this time my younger sister Cheem and her friends, who just arrived from Dumaguete were the ones who treated me there. I tagged my best friend along with me that night for more fun. Besides, I couldn't go out without Pabz for he is the only person I trust
.
My younger sister Chem and her current boyfriend Kyle, who was just her suitor at that time. Don't be deceived by his look. Although he looks like a warlord due to his long hair, he is the kindest and most generous guy I've known and the best boyfriend my sister has ever introduced to me.

Cheem and her friends Charlotte in all-pink get-up, Crystal in black with highlighted hair and Karen. I like them although they are quite liberated women.

Her's me and my best friend Pabz with my sister's friends getting silly in front the camera. Pabz played a chick-boy who has at least three chicks. Look at my begging face. Lol!
It was a one fun night!!!

Balai Resto Bar or simply BRB is one of the most visited bars in Dipolog City at the present. Whenever you plan on visiting and going out at night in Dipolog, consider BRB. You can dine in there with your family and friends and later on have a drink in one of their bamboo cottages located at the back of their restaurant. I've been there several times now and eveytime the place is packed with kiddos and oldies, men and women, students or officials. The place is trending kind of, maybe because of its bamboo hut theme, which is different from the typical bar you know of.

Friday Night at Fuse Box Bar Cafe

This is just one of the wild Friday nights in Fuse Box Bar Cafe. Shared here are few of the photos taken during the Friday before last Friday we hang out there courtesy of my friend's power ranger, I mean foreigner boyfriend.

We were invited there for a drink by my sister's friend who met with her foreigner boyfriend that night. Sorry to say this but he is a cheapskate. He only ordered a jag of Boracay mixed drink and that was it.
Pabz, younger sister and friends.

This is how it's like in Fuse Box Bar Cafe during Friday night because Friday night is show-down night. It is when girls compete to be the best exotic dancer. And my favorite spot during Friday night in there at the bar to avoid being in the crowd.

There is one getting wild....and yep, he did take off his top and danced her heart out.

and here's more...

Kids are mostly the crowd in Fuse Box. They love the place. I, myself love to hang out there too. Among the bars in Dipolog, Fusebox is my favorite bar. Entrance fee is only for males. It's 20 pesos during regular nights and 50 pesos during Friday and Saturday nights. It closes up to 7 in morning depends on the costumers.

T-Ice Ladies in Fuse Box

I talked about the fun night out I had a couple of weeks ago with two of my girl friends in high school here. In there I talked about our time in Balai Resto Bar (BRB) and the delicious Sisig served there. But before we went to BRB, we had a round of drinks first in Fuse Box.

At that time, there were no other costumers except us so we took advantage of having the whole dance floor just for us. Also, we tirelessly posed for the camera. Monette's boyfriend then became our photographer.
Here's the three of us Tanduay Ice ladies. We were competing to finish our bottle of Tanduay Ice here and at the same time posing for the camera. Also, we were excited to finish our bottle so we could head to BRB. It was then that I noticed Fuse Box wall banner was inspired by the color of Tanduay Ice and I happened to wear the color too. Do you notice?

Bar Hopping Fun

Bar hopping, drinking, and moving with the beat, in short partying out at night is a fun thing to do. I love doing it with friends who could relate to my style, who could buy me a drink and who could take care of me when I get drunk. I have one friend who's reliable when it comes to that. That's why I've been out partying lately just to enjoy and forget problems even at least for a short period of time.

When I go out, one thing I would pay attention to is the music and on how a DJ do a remake of the music being played. There is one particular bar where I love to hang out here in this city I reside. It is called Fuse Box. The place is not that grand but it is one of the most favorite hangouts of the many party goers. It is just a small place but as to what I experienced, the crews are friendly, the DJ who happens to be one of the owners is cool and he mix music nicely. That I think are the reasons why many party goers visit the bar even during weekdays. I, in particular like the DJ for he dances along with the music. I was lucky one night I was able to peek on the DJ Equipment he got on his little booth while he was playing a nice beat. I was quite drunk then that I even accidentally poured some beer on his mouse but the DJ was cool enough to smile at me and said it was alright.

Bar Business Suggestion

One of the closest friends I have in college asked me to accompany him to Ipil. Yes, he’s a he but with a she heart. Lol! We’ve just got reconnected recently after almost three years of not hearing from each other. His family has a little candy business and he is tasked to deliver it to different places in our region. One place he went to recently is Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay, which I’ve never been to. He stayed there for a day and a night and explored the place a bit. Knowing him who loves dancing, bars and disco houses sure are the places he likely hangs out at night that I could think of. I was right! He was so excited when came back to Dipolog and reported me about this bar called Planet 1 Bar. Bad thing, he doesn't took a picture of the place and we couldn't find a picture of it online.

Being a night owl me, he knows that the first thing in my list if I am to invest is a bar. He described the bar to me on how unique and amazing the structure is, which is way different from the bars we see here in Dipolog City. He suggested that if I am to open a bar, I would get ideas from Planet 1 Bar in Ipil. He was kind of over reacting to be talking all that for I don’t have the large sum of money to start such a big business on my own. I wonder if I could get a loan for that but it’s scary on my part having no stable job. I am afraid the loan would eat up all my savings. I could only enter in a small corporation where I could own a small share as a start. Starting a small investment would be the safest way to secure the investment and to not to experience a big loss. Well, I might visit this Planet 1 Bar one day.

My Weekend and Missing 811

How's your weekend everyone? I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. This weekend is a lazy weekend for me (as always). I stayed home the whole day and spent my time sitting in front the computer and TV. Luckily, my computer didn't shut down on its own today. Because of that I finally had the chance to start watching the first episode of Korean's City Hunter for a reason it stars Lee Minho.

Since it is weekend, it is time to share some colors in a photo(s).
It made me wonder why most of time the color yellow is used for direction banner and sticker labels. You may not wonder why but I bet you've noticed yellow is always used as color for direction sticker labels. See that labels on the picture above as example. Why not red, blue or let me say pink?

These pictures by the way were taken inside 811 music bar. Yes, yes, it's 811 again. I am just saddened upon  the closing of this music bar. It had became my favorite place to sing and now they've totally closed it. One thing I like about the place is the comfort room or the ladies for it's clean and truly comfortable. Although they were short on workers, they've managed to keep the comfort room clean. I missed the place a lot! I missed singing my heart out to the top of my lungs on their cute stage.

Colorful Drop Lighting In 811

My friend and I visited back 811 last week. To those who do not know yet, 811 is a newly opened bar we recently explored. It's a bar with a free videoke - 3 songs per table. That visit last week was yet another night out treat for me by a friend. Sweet! I haven't uploaded the photos yet from our recent visit there that's why I'm sharing today the old photos I failed to share on my previous post about the place. These were the photos taken during our first visit in 811.

The stage were colorfully illuminated by balloon drop lighting  making the singers feel like popular stars. I enjoyed much on the singing and for sure my friends enjoyed it too.

Here is the little DJ booth. This little area right here needs makeover but I see no problem with the sound quality though. That little box has a lot of songs stored. I was truly satisfied as I've played and sung all the songs I felt like singing that night.

Here are more photos of my friends on stage. They had a lot of fun stealing the microphone from each other while I enjoyed taking photos of them. I did took a lot of awkward photos but they deleted it all.  They cared more on their songs than on their Boracay shots.

A Night in Eight/Eleven

It was my youngest sister who took this picture of me inside a newly opened disco and karaoke bar in the city called 8/11. Thanks to her for not stealing a shot or I wouldn't share even a piece to think the song I was singing was quite face-breaking. This was that night when I was invited by a new friend to join the farewell night out party of her husband who was leaving for States in two days. I dragged my sister along that night for I didn't like leaving her alone in my house while I was partying.
We went first to a disco bar and drunk a lot of heady Boracay drink before heading to this new karaoke bar. It was my first time there but I instantly love the place especially after talking to the humble owner and friendly DJ and waiters. The most interesting about the bar is the thought behind its name. The bar is named 8/11 because you'll get unlimited drinks out of your 100 pesos entrance fee from eight to eleven in the evening. So you can have unlimited drinks in three hours for only 100php. Wow! The bar was still under construction when we were there. The wall paint was still unfinished and the set-up at the DJ booth still lacked the gadgets needed. I would have suggested a krk rp5g2 studio monitor if they haven't had one. I thought of going back there one of these nights if somebody will sponsor. Lol!
