I was crossing the street to the boulevard when I saw a cat crossing on the road too toward my direction. Since it was lunch time, there were only few vehicles on the street. Still, the cat was cautions in its every steps not to lose one of its nine lives. If only I have nine too. Lol.
I thank the cat for getting my attention that day because it was not just the cat I captured but also the new sight I saw. When was that last time my feet took me on this junction of Dipolog City? Why didn't I notice the changes, the progress? That hut with two umbrellas/canopies is a newly built grill called Karyll's. I haven't tried their food there but my sister did. She said there is nothing special with the food except that the place is more decent than of those grills you see on the side of the boulevard. On the far end, the white two-story building is a pension house and spa. Haist, when was the last time I pampered myself with that luxury? Two years ago.
Among the things you can see in the photos, one that's very noticeable is the threatening sky. Although It threatened to bring a heavy rain, it still had some shades of blue, as blue as the pence on the side.

Camera Critters: Monitor Lizard at Palawan
My share today for Camera Critters are the photos below.
Hubby was so eager to pose for the camera with the monitor lizard while I was quite hesitant. I was scared to be whipped by its tail. Oh yes, it would hurt as heck!
Here is the closer shot I took of Mr. ML. It looks snobbish.
These photos were taken in Puerto Princesa, Palawan last May 2008 during our tour to the Underground River. These are few of those unshared photos I have in my computer files. Today, I finally have a reason to share this photos of me, hubby and the monitor lizard here in this blog.
About Monitor Lizards:
source: wikipedia.orgMonitor lizards, also known as biawak or goannas, genus Varanus, are members of the family Varanidae. Varanus is a group of largely carnivorous lizards which includes the largest living lizard, the Komodo dragon, and the crocodile monitor. The closest living relatives are the anguid and helodermatid lizards.
Monitor lizards are usually large reptiles, although some can be as small as 12 centimeters in length. They have long necks, powerful tails and claws, and well-developed limbs. Most species are terrestrial, but arboreal and semi-aquatic monitors are also known. Almost all monitor lizards are carnivorous, although Varanus bitatawa, Varanus prasinus and Varanus olivaceus are also known to eat fruit. They are oviparous, laying from 7 to 37 eggs, which they often cover with soil or protect in a hollow tree stump.

Camera Critters: Chizka and The Butterflies
Happy weekend everyone! How's your weekend so far? Mine just went well. I just spent few hours playing with Chizka after talking to hubby. It's been a while since the last time we played chase and hide and seek or it's been awhile since the last time I gave Chizka some love and attention. I felt she's been asking for it lately because I've been ignoring her on purpose. I gone mad at her because she broke my phone. I am glad I got it fixed now.
So here are photos of Chizka and the three plastic butterflies at the stair railings:
Don't know where to go Chiz? I got yah!
Look at that look. Seems like she was saying "come on now, chase me"!
(I am boasting my 3 cute butterflies too for Camera Critters. They pose lovely!)

Yet she stopped and pose for the camera. Very good Chizka!
If you are in my shoes, will you be able to get rid of this cute little turd? The look of her cute face is enough to soften my heart. I should be getting rid of her because it is no longer allowed here inside OV community.

Camera Critter: Lots and Lots of Crocs
Can you imagine yourself being down there? I did think of what will happen to me if I accidentally fell down. Will I be saved? That's is quite impossible. These crocodiles will be having fun feasting on me for sure. Anyway, this is my share for today's Camera Critters.
