Welcome The New Year in New York City

Time flies so fast indeed. It was just like yesterday when my family celebrated the Christmas and welcomed the New Year together. Yet again, we are nearing to the days of celebrating such joyous world celebration. Although I am nearing to becoming a year older by counting the days closing to the new year, I still can't help but anticipate the coming of the year 2013. I am anticipating on what the new year will bring. Will I be prosperous or will I stay in this current state - struggling? Will there be good things to happen in my life when the new year comes? I can only hope for all the good things.
Our last New Year was spent here in Manukan and surely, this coming New Year will be again spent here. As much as the whole family wanted to spend that holiday somewhere nice and luxurious, we cannot afford the expense. Besides, there is a belief that my folks believed in - spend new year at home together so the family will not spread out and be apart. Celebrating new year with the whole family is fun. I am truly contented with it but New Year and even Christmas is no longer fun in this little town unlike before. I miss the joyous atmosphere of Christmas in the Philippines that is felt as early as September.

I don't know if our New Year 2013 will be a joyous one but I am sure new years eve parties nyc will be. If you want a real unforgettable New Year's Eve party, you might as well join the parties in Time Square, NYC. I can only dream to be there.

‘Renew your vows’ becoming increasingly popular
Variety Cruises is finding that more and more people are choosing to renew their wedding vows later in life and what could be more romantic than doing so at sea where tradition demands the ceremony is conducted by the Captain of the ship.

The Honeymooners’ package is also available to those who choose to renew their vows. For those who are more recently married, Variety insists the cruise must be taken within 6 months of the wedding date and asks to see a marriage certificate.

Monkey Trail at Puerto Prinsesa Palawan

The fact that our wedding anniversary is fast approaching, I can't help but look back the days when hubby and I were enjoying the first two weeks of marriage. Everything was perfect. We were both happy as we explored a bit of Puerto Prinsesa, Palawan during our honeymoon.

One fun activity we did in Palawan that I haven't talked about yet in this blog was the Monkey Trail. It was actually not included in our package tour but we did it anyway. We did it after rowing in the Underground River. We were given enough time to eat and rest before heading back to the resort we were staying. We got bored waiting for the rest of the tourists to finish eating that we thought of going for a trail.

One of the monkeys who stole some of our foods. Lol! He was cool enough to strike a pose for my camera.

We were hesitant to climb at first afraid we'll get caught for it was restricted during our tour but our  curiosity to see what is up there didn't stop us though. We headed up to look for the monkeys.

We climbed up higher and higher but there weren't any signs of monkeys. It seemed like all of them were down where the tourists were at to snatch some foods. We were disappointed to see no monkeys, we climbed back down and had a rest.

Arriving in Cebu City

This is a very late post for it's been months since the day my youngest sis arrived from their educational tour in Cebu and Bohol but I am sharing these pictures anyway for Green Monday.

Some of the DMC HRIM students as they arrived Cebu City.

That tour was my youngest sister's first travel alone and by ship and so it was very memorable for her. So even how expensive the tour was, I let her join. Good for her to be able to explore Cebu as much as she could while I didn't have to luxury of time to do so while I was there. I am happy for her to have experienced an awesome educational tour there. Since that tour, she'd been bugging me to plan a family vacation there even for three days. Since it is January, Sinulog festival is coming up and she wanted to much to go to Cebu to watch and experience the festivity. I am thinking about it.
