Tsunami Alert in the Philippines After Japan

A powerful earthquake with a magnitude 8.8 hit Japan followed by a 24 kilometers high tsunami, according to the video above. I am a little confused about the real magnitude because some reports says 8.9 and 7.5. But whichever is true, the said earthquake definitely was that powerful trigger a tsunami. The giant wave washed the entire towns of North Tokyo killing, as reported by ABC News, countless people.

It was said that the devastating earthquake that quaked Japan and triggered the giant wave will likely spawn a destructive tsunami that can wash entire coastlines within minutes in countries like Philippines, Russia, and Australia. As I read at the quoted news "the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center issued a warning to the entire east coast of the Philippines to be on alert this Friday for the possibility of tsunamis". MalacaƱang as well appealed to people living nearby coastlines to evacuate.

I got a message today from my husband saying I need to hit to a high ground now as the tsunami is going our way and that he is worried of me and my family's safety. I am worried too, so much worried. I hope God will spare us.
