Unit On Fire

(Click on the photos for a larger view)

One of the yellow units in front Orchid Villas (place where we live) was on fire this morning around 11:00 a.m. The unit is owned by the manager of Orchid Villas.  The fire occurred on the top floor which they are using as the laundry/ironing area.  It was said that the cause of the fire was the iron. The maid left the iron on the ironing board to do something quick but the fire was a lot quicker than her.  The hot temperature helped the fire to scatter quickly around the wood shed that was built on top of the said unit.  It was good that the firemen responded right away to the call and avoided the fire from scattering around the whole unit.

That was scary... especially with that type of building where every house is close to each other. Glad that the firemen are quick to respond and you are safe too Amiga. Keep safe.

Fire is a scary thing. When small it can be your friend but when big, it is uncontrollable and very dangerous. Hope no one's hurt

The iron should auto off when put it right, if not it will melt the board. Maybe it was shot on the wiring I think..
